Be Encouraged!

Numbers 32:5--They continued, "If you think we've done a good job so far, give us this country for our inheritance. Don't make us go across the Jordan." 6-12 Moses answered the families of Gad and Reuben: "Do you mean that you are going to leave the fighting that's ahead to your brothers while you settle down here? Why would you even think of letting the People of Israel down, demoralizing them just as they're about to move into the land God gave them? That's exactly what your ancestors did when I sent them from Kadesh Barnea to survey the country. They went as far as the Valley of Eshcol, took one look and quit.

The families of Gad and Reuben saw that the land was suitable for livestock, and they had plenty. So.... they went to Moses and the other leaders and told them they would prefer to settle there. In addition, they did not want to cross the Jordan…

Moses had to bring them back to reality…

Sometimes, folks, we need to remember this simple fact... While enjoying your blessings, don't forget those who still have to fight.

Who did you quit on? Remember, they took the time to pray for you!

We pray for those who you failed to assist... Those who needed your assistance, guidance, prayers, help, etc.

As we continue this life journey, remember that you are not alone. Even if they ask to settle... Even if they would rather not cross the Jordan to help you fight.... even if you have to travel without them.... be encouraged.

God will never leave you nor forsake you! It shall be well.
